Bedtime

Tyler couldn't decide where to sleep tonight...
First he tried Eric's bed. He liked the bear paw sheets, but something wasn't quite right..

Next, He tried Kaitlyn's bed. She gave him a royal kiss in her fairy princess bed, but it still wasn't right...

Next, He tried Brittany's bed. She read him a really good book that made him tired, and he even liked the giant teddy bear that lay by His side, but something still wasn't just right...

Finally, He found his cradle and penguin and everything was just right! Now if only He would sleep in it all night!

It's SO fun to see all these pictures of my newest little nephew!! What a DOLL!! Oh, and I forgot to have Spencer call you back. He said we bought our stroller on ebay for cheaper. But I think our model might be the more expensive one because it lays all the way back. Good Luck! Can't wait to see you guys! Tyler is 3 weeks old in the bedtime pictures. I have some from his blessing and Thanksgiving that I will hopefully post soon! At the very top of my blog on the left of the header is the website that has the cute backgrounds. There are a ton to choose from. Good luck.; December 2, 2008 at 8:23 AM

Recipe of the Day, Week, Month, or whenever I feel like changing it!

The kids and I took a trip to Half Moon Bay, CA in January to see the Mavericks surf contest and spend the weekend with my favorite Aunt Fay, Uncle Bob and Grandma! Aunt Fay made us the best buttermilk pancakes with homemade buttermilk syrup!

Buttermilk Pancakes
2 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
5 egg yolks
Combine above ingredients
Add:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
6 Tablespoons oil
Beat 5 egg whites and fold into above mixture when griddle is ready.

Buttermilk Syrup
1 stick of butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
Add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add:
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teasopoon vanilla
Stir and enjoy!

I made pancakes from a mix this morning for breakfast. Brittany asked if I had any of the good syrup. I said yes, because we have some strawberry syrup in the fridge right now. She was dissapointed to see that we in fact did not have any of the good syrup! She was hoping for the buttermilk kind! I guess I need to add buttermilk to the grocery list!
