Christmas 2007
We love being home for Christmas! It is so much fun to have traditions, even if the kids can't stand some of them! ie, Christmas eve Clam Chowder...not one of the kids would even touch it! Too bad, we are having it next year, too! They love reading from the Bible about the birth of Jesus and hearing the Twas the Night Before Christmas story on Christmas Eve. Most of them liked the Peaches and Cream French toast breakfast, but i'm not sure they liked waiting until after breakfast to open presents. I had to wait until after dinner and dishes to open presents as a kid, so this is our compromise. We drug it out until noon this year, cleaning up breakfast, showering, playing with the toys we got in our stockings, and my being extra slow at getting ready!

Linds, just because you suffered Christmas day can't open presents until after the dinner dishes are done abuse doesn't mean your kids need to face the same wrath! Rip and tear, rip and tear! In fact, maybe you should try this - whoever gets to the tree fastest gets to open as many presents as they can until the others come and start doing the same! Then it's just a free-for-all, and Shaun could've ended up with the BAD bike!
dido to Brynn - her comment is so well written I would like to use it.
